In the FreeModel Console, open Billing and choose a top-up pack:\$5, \$20, \$50, or \$100.
How usage is charged
Each request is metered against your balance at the selected model’s catalog price. The gateway reserves the maximum possible charge before calling the provider, then settles the actual usage and releases the rest.
View the models page for current per-model prices, and
request logs and usage in the Console for recent consumption.
If your balance cannot cover the reservation, the API returns HTTP
402 with
error.code insufficient_funds. Add funds before retrying. Failed
generations are not charged.
Catalog prices are the prepaid amounts charged for a successful request. They do not include payment-processor fees or promotions.
GPT Image 2 billing
gpt-image-2 charges per image by quality and size: low $0.03 at any size, medium $0.052 (1024x1024) or $0.073 (landscape or portrait), and high $0.177 or $0.26.
Image Ext billing
gpt-image-2.5-ext and gpt-image-2.5-ext-sunburst charge per delivered image: $0.0085 at 1K, $0.014 at 2K, and $0.021 at 4K. Both versions use the same rates. Reference images have no surcharge. The gateway reserves requested n times the resolution price, then settles the actual returned count against that immutable price version. Explicit failure or cancellation releases the reservation. Invalid delivered results keep the reservation for reconciliation.
